Gypsies On Parade
Volume 6 - Number 2
Fan Fair '91
Fan Fair 1991 has come and gone, but to the many fans the memories will last a life time. There is no place where you can see so many Country Stars, hear more country music and have as much fun as you can during the week of Fan Fair. To the many Sawyer Brown Fans we say thank you for making Fan Fair 1991 another success story. It's real easy for us to tell you what a great time you can have at Fan Fair and the Fan Club breakfast, but this year we thought you might like to here it from a fan who attended the breakfast.
This is a short letter to tell you how much my family and I enjoyed the Fan Club Breakfast. We has never been to one before and we were delighted with the fact that we got to meet the members of the band, shake their hands, get autographs and take pictures. Each of them seems to be very down to earth and genuinely interested in each of their fans.
The food was delicious, the service was nice and the seating didn't leave anyone out of anything that was going on. I especially enjoyed the auction and the guys singing a few songs. My little girl was afraid they weren't going to sing (she's never been to a concert) and she was very happy when she realized the stage was set for a few songs.
I hope this continues to be an annual event. My husband and I are already talking about making reservations for next year's breakfast. Once again, thank you for a nice meal.
Sincerely, Carol J. Mills
Thanks to all of you for making the Fan Club Breakfast and Fan Fair a huge success. On behalf of the member of Sawyer Brown I would like to thank each and everyone that attended, and hope that more of you will get an opportunity to attend next year.
We continually try to improve on the Fan Club and do appreciate your comments and support. We will continue to work hard and hopefully can accomplish greater things in the future.
As many of you may already know The Walk is the latest single for Sawyer Brown. We expect great things from this song, so lets all get behind it.
May God Bless You All,
6 Pounds, and 2 Ounces?
In case you haven't heard by now Mark and Lisa Miller added a new addition to the family. A bouncing baby girl, Madison Marie Miller. Madison was born March 30th, here in Nashville, and weighed in at a whopping 6 pounds and 2 ounces. From the latest check she could be a ravishing blue eyed brunette, but only her hair dresser knows for sure.
The members of Sawyer Brown recently visited the Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando, Florida where Mark donated one of his Gibson guitars to be displayed in the restaurant.
What's wrong with this picture?
Recently during a performance at the Greek theatre in Los Angeles, Sawyer Brown was performing with Charlie Daniels. While taking photos and interviewing, Mark and Charlie exchanged hats.
The latest single and video from the Buick album is The Walk. Both Curb/Capitol and Sawyer brown are very proud of this tune which was written by Mark Miller.
Four separate postcards, with The Walk art work, were sent to all radio stations with the first three postcards having a different verse of the song on them and the fourth being a hand written note from Mark. Additionally each radio station received a poster of The Walk with accompanying lyrics, as well as a copy of the video.
The video has already had a rave reviews, with some critics stating they thought it was the best country video that they had ever seen. VH-1 has already viewed it and will begin airing it on their country segment in mid July.
Full page advertisements were ran in Billboard Magazine, Music City News, R&R magazine and the Gavin Report.
The single debuted June 25th, with the video debuting July 1st. The Walk was one of the most added songs, to a radio stations current play list, in the nation for the week of July 1st. You, the fans, can play a major role in helping to support The Walk and Sawyer Brown by calling your local radio stations and requesting The Walk. You may be surprised to find out that some stations that have never played Sawyer Brown, are playing The Walk.
We truly believe in this song, and an early indication is that radio does as well.
